YUWA stands for and by the youth. It is a platform for Christian youth to come together irrespective of sectarian and denominational backgrounds.
A few things about YUWA...YUWA is the youth wing of an organisation known as Pentecostal Missions Fellowship of India—a body of 70-80 independent organisations in the whole of Delhi & India. It is not backed by or affiliated to any major organisation and is purely a voluntary venture. It was after a youth camp on October 6, 2010 that YUWA was born.
What we stand for...At YUWA, we felt that there is a lot of talk of unity, fellowship and doing great things for the Lord but predominantly inside the church or under the banner of a respective group. No one really cared about the larger ecclessia or church that our Lord Jesus is concerned with. If we are indifferent to our brothers and sisters in different churches here on earth, how can we be with them when we are in Heaven. After all, isn't earth a place where we are actually preparing ourselves for our Eternal life!
Interestingly, the youth who have have participated with us till now have also echoed similar feelings. Among the youth there are no fixed notions or conventional backlogs. There is simply love and affection. You must see the way in which they connect and in their consecutive meetings meet as if they are long-lost brothers.
YUWA is all about about the youth and their ability to be care-free and light-hearted. If we can nurture such inherently talented bunch of people to also grow in the Lord, isn't it a potent mix! There is nothing like a young person wielding the double-edged sword of the word of God.
With these ideals in mind we have formulated a two-fold vision:-
1. Unite and bring together youth from different churches and organisations nurturing them to be leaders.
2. Fulfil the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ (This is already being practiced since YUWA's inception. However, greater emphasis would be given to it only in the second leg of our vision.)
