s.t.a.r.t.l.e.d

Startled...I think it has to be the key word today..when I woke to the thunderous bass of my Father's, I was so annoyingly startled. It was like a sudden and vigorous kickstart to the system, that the whole 'what's happening??' mechanism of my body, reeling under that explosive stimulant, was at a loss to explain as to what's really happening. With eyes twinkling faster than a camera's shutter, it dawned on me that I've been caught unawares. I neglected my chores and was busy building my Kingdom of Dreams.

.... If King Jesus descends on our turf with an entourage fit for the King of Kings, I think a good number of us would be dumbly STARTLED. Taking our dumbness to Himalayan levels we'll think two things...."So, all this was really true, huh!!" ..and when we realise that there was no escaping this reality, the second thought would be "Did it have to be so soon? I was still in my City of Dreams planning to WAKE UP!!"

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them to the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
-Paul's first epistle to the Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NIV)

************

A Sunday morning beamer.....
..... when God calls us up....before his everlasting throne, he would ask us two things (he has all the possible reasons to!!)---
1. What did you do with my son Jesus?
2. What did you do with all the resources (talents, money, comforts etc.) that I gave you?
Be careful when you answer..it may affect your eternity!!

***********

Today was a day of challenges...when you put down the impossibilities in numeric terms...the numbers may initially be startling..but the greater the distance, the sweeter would be the rest and the reminisces, not to mention the victory of going the distance.

"I said, "I have worked, but how hopeless it is! I have used up my strength but have accomplished nothing." Yet I can trust the Lord to defend my cause; he will reward me for what I do."
-The Book of Isaiah 49:4 (GNB)

The second post after the first post....and I'm loving it. When there's a blank screen in front of you and an equally blank blog before you, you are forced to dig deep and you would be startled by what lies beneath. Seriously...

Lifesong

In an utterly contemplative disposition of my mind..

Casting Crowns playing at the background is striking a chord somewhere "Let my lifesong sing to you!" Only if it had been as easy as singing a song.

A mixed day. Nothing much to look forward to. I see a few weeks of similar monotony....A nice chat, a boisterous sister, exuberant guests made the bulk of the the day. Two weeks of hard labour-my beard is under threat of annihilation!!! No point in resisting ...would have to GIVE IN...:)

Blog seems to be deserted...the last entry was on October 6. Thought of writing my mind. The problem of sharing LIFE is that it needs a message. Do not strain...you have heard it before...had Gandhi been alive...he would have been an avid blogger. Nothing like a public notebook to make your "My life is my Message" ideals known to the world. It's quite a deal to have a life worth emulating...
A second dilemma is the loss of that comfort of oblivion that one so zealously guards. Nobody knows, nobody hears, nobody sees and you feel your life is your own and private. But then, anything for Christ....

So I think I'll be here often to share and explore my mundane. I hope many in the course would sing that lifesong with me. If only......

To God Be The Glory

I am really excited to write this article on the auspicious day of YUWA's birthday. Today YUWA has completed a fruitful year of ministry among the youth. Have you ever heard of a one year old baby writing something meaningful? But today I am going to recount all the wonders God did in the past, yes you are right I am going to make you all  nostalgic. It all begun with PMFI creating a youth wing called YUWA but it was more than that, everyone in YUWA associated themselves personally with it as it was their own childhood vision to have something like this. So here we go as we remember what all happend this one year and I hope that some good old memories will be stirred to life....please do go through it

To start with YUWA is all about God Almighty and His work among the youth. From the beginning when the team was being formed,we all anticipated that it was more than a mere "FELLOWSHIP" or a "MEETING". We always felt that we were all sufficient lacking nothing but God from time to time reminded us that "its not by might nor by strength but by his Spirit".We saw the making of many great people in YUWA and saw the breaking of many small issues of everybody's life which was hindering God's work through their life. God equipped us with people of various talents and traits.

Our Director Siju Thomas always had a proper setup of everything in his mind which he shared with us like the small boy who shared his lunch with Jesus Christ which in turn lead to the filling of more than 5000 empty stomachs!!.

Reni would by then leap out of nowhere with a idea which would be of great help to all and I don't think that anybody has forgotten his jokes and accompanying people in their travels (not to forget his treasury department!!).

When we had a big problem and were worried about it, Felix would just come with a word of prayer and we would be strengthened by the Lord (please message him your prayer requests).

Anto and Blesson are the one's who are responsible for the creative thinking (I don't know how they do it but they do it all the time, don't forget Anto's drum or he will ROLL you over and Blesson's marvellous IT works).

Here comes Ajin with his Govindpuri unit meeting, sms invites (that is the time when we remember that we have a unit there) and his pains in working it out smoothly (Do watch out for his choreo on the 15th Oct meet).

We have Anu Abraham who initiates and makes all those lovely handouts which might be in your Bible, if you had been to our meetings even once.

Tincy Philip, our Indrapuram unit co-ordinator (she has threatened me to write about her or I will be executed for the crime) is a think tank, an active member and a worshipper who hates chairs in our Musical Evening as it restricts her in dancing and worshiping the Lord!!.

We have a Worship Team who are always ready to crack a joke or two during their so called "Practises", many have been a part of the team and naming them would be a task worth doing so they are-(Jolly Joseph, Samuel Sashi, Anson Abraham, Vicky Gupta, Anto, Ajin, Rhema, Feba, Sherin Philip, Mishael, Blesson, Felix, Saji and Deepak). The Worship Team has informed me that on the "Thanksgiving Day" (15th October) they will offer unto God a sacrifice of Praise as never before so do come and be part of it.

Special thanx to Merlin Philip for her support, Sajo Varghese for the fire breathing articles,

PRAISE Team for their musical help (Limi, Sumit Varghese, Gaurav Singh, Siju Abraham and many more for their efforts put into the choreo ssection) and for everyone who has done their bit in YUWA be it bringing food, accompanying somebody or at the least putting the chairs in our meet.

I at this time remember all of our sponsors without whom this journey would have been impossible (nobody knows your problems in which you were, when you supported us but God knows and He is gonna bless u more in the days to come). YUWA had wonderful and supportive pastors who helped us with their words of encouragement and caution, church hall, the food during the practises and financial support too (Pr NP Philip, Pr VT Thomas ,Pr Jiju Mathew, Pr Jose Samuel, Pr Johnson Ramachandran and many more). It would be a great injustice to forget our parents, patrons and well-wishers who have prayed for us and have helped us when we needed it most. The people who prayed when nobody heard it except God Himself. Yuwa thanks you and may God bless you. Not to forget our marvellous resource persons with whom many of us now have a close bonding namely (Pr Sam Ajith, Ashish Babu and Joshua Samuel).

Whoaaa its not even a drop in the ocean  but anyways it's only the Beginning For the Beginning(YUWAMANIA has Just begun)!!!

BEING HUMAN OR BEING CHRISTIAN...THE CHOICE IS IN OUR HANDS
Sorry seems to be the hardest word???
Father ,please forgive us our sins even though we do not forgive those who sin against us...
Forgiveness is a lot harder than it seems or is made out to be...

Peter came to Jesus and asked" lord, how many times should i forgive my brother when he sins against me ? Up to seven times? Jesus answered " I tell you not seven times ,but seventy times seven...". In the next following verses the Bible says " the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servats . As he began his settlement , a man who owned him ten thousand talents was brought to him. Since he was unable to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had b sold to repay the debt. The servant fell on his knees before him,"be patient with me" he begged and i ll pay back everything.'The servants master had pity on him ,cancelled the debtand, let him go. But when the servant went out he found one of his fellow servants who owned him one hundred dinarii..he grabbed him and began to choke him..he begged ..fell on his knees but couldn't be pardoned.. when the news reached the ears of the master ..he called the servant in 'you wicked servant ' he said ' I cancelled all the debts of yours because you begged me to . shouldn't you have had mercy on your servant just as i had on you? in anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured ,until he should pay back all he owed.
We tweens ,teens and young adults have everyday experience of this kind when we get ourselves into quarrels or cold-wars (not necessarily collar-grabbing or catfights) . In our every step we come across people who may not even like us , be mean to us , or just want us to trip as we climb...so, what do we do when we face such negative energies around us???
we have two options one is fun and easy however the other one is tough...either we can give tit for tat treatment as in an eye for an eye , so that the people know what it is like messing with us and prove ourselves to be the king and queen of the jungle or go with the other option...
The other option is far more difficult to be taken and cannot be taken by a mere human as it is what is going to differentiate us from the rest...that is to forgive the people and show them the Love God showed us....(ref.Luke 6:37 and Luke6: 27,28) and let them know Who we have fellowship with!! And if we forgive..it should not only be said but has to be felt and shown . We should pray for them and love then more than we do for our friends and be the "Salt" . So the next time we are planning to give a prayer offering to God lets make sure that there is no brother or sister out there towards whom we have even the slightest of grudge or coldness (ref. Matthew 5:24) . May God bless us all with a life free of jealousy , envy , discord , and contention of the lowest of lowest to highest of highest levels .
Godbless

Being Human Christian

To be a Human is not a much difficult task, but to be a Christian is not an easy task.
The "Person" of Christ is now at the right hand of the father in Heaven.
But only by his spirit, his presence can be in you and in me-and in every Believer throughout the world (Romans 8:9)

A Human baby receives from its parents, the nature and character of the family. But, when we are born into God's family,
We receive Christ's image and his nature i.e. others should not see a normal human in us but must find Christ in our character.

A human is forced to fulfill his desires which many be sinful in nature.
He can adopt any qualities- good or bad. But, a Christian must adopt the qualities of Christ i.e. the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-24)
Each of the fruit is a specific quality of Christ’s life- an aspect of his “being”.
The best way to preach Christ is through our life i.e. our character, the way we live and communicate amongst others. We must practice the fruits of the Holy Spirit (as in Galatians 5:22-24) in our daily life and in every situation. As we submit to His spirit, God’s love grows strong within our lives we become better Christians and more like Jesus in our character.
Hence, we become a blessing – to God, to others and even ourselves.

"Don’t Quarrel on the Way"

Genesis 45: 24

This was the instruction that Joseph gave to his brothers while they were departing from Egypt after realizing that the supreme authority of Egypt was their brother Joseph whom they tired to kill, a long time back( Gen 37:12-36). Whatever happened to Joseph was God’s plan. Joseph knew that a quarrel could have broke out between his brothers on whom to responsible regarding the plot to kill or sell off their brother Joseph. The reality was that, everything in Joseph’s life went according to God’s plan. But an eruption of quarrel amongst his brothers would have worsened the God’s plan of reuniting Joseph’s family in Egypt at the time of famine in all countries. Joseph realized this and that’ why he instructed them to not quarrel on the way.

From the above passage, we must realize that we are also on our way to fulfill God’s will. But many of our sins divert us from God’s plan. Quarrelling is also one amongst sins which spoil our life (Proverbs 17:19). People quarrel to justify themselves, whether right or wrong. But, quarreling never brings justice, rather turns into an unquenchable fire leading to disaster (Proverbs 17:14). Hence, we must avoid quarrels in our family life, in our schools, colleges, neighborhoods or working places because a righteous man never quarrels rather he maintain silence (Must read 2Timothy 2:24, 1Thessalonians 4:11).

WHO DECEIVED THE SERPENT?

Genesis chapter 3(read it)
From our childhood,we see the serpent(snake) as an evil creature. For instance if we see a snake in a nightmare,we say that something terrible is going to happen. It's all because of what happened in Genesis chapter 3. On that day, snake got cursed by God and became the enemy of christians
But we know, snake is just a living creature, a wild animal created by God(Gen 3:1,first line). The snake had no intention to destroy the god's valauable creation i.e human being by deceiving Eve and Adam and turn them away from God.
It was the devil that used the snake to deceive human being. The devil used the snake instead of any other wild animal because the snake was more crafty than any other wild animal(Gen3:1)
The snake's craftiness helped the devil to use it and lead it to be cursed by God(Gen 3:14). Hence, the snake(serpent) got deceived by its own craftiness. Just like that we human beings should take a lesson from snake and realize that its our own craftiness or sinful nature that leads to a depleted bond between ourselves and God. Also our sinful nature or bad habits permits the devil to use us and make us his slaves which inturn leads to our own destruction.
Hence, let's not deceive ourselves!!
(Read Galatians chapter 6:7-8)

The Blood of Jesus

Forwarded by Ajin..One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God at her heart.

She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol, drugs, and prostitution.

But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became a faithful member of the church.

She eventually became involved in the ministry, teaching young children.

It was not very long until this faithful young woman had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.

The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.

This is when the problems began.

You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.  The church began to argue and fight about the matter. So they decided to have a meeting.

As the people made their arguments and tensions increased, the meeting was getting completely out of hand.  The young woman became very upset about all the things being brought up about her past.

As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak. He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be. He began to speak and his statement was this:

"My fiance's past is not what is on trial here. What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus to wash away sin. Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial. So, does it wash away sin or not?"

The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.

Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely then it cannot cleanse us completely.
If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!

"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."  Psalm 55:23

It is a misconception that 'christians are perfect'..being a christian does not prevent you from struggling or feeling down, discouraged or defeated... Life is a journey and at times its hard, frustrating and lonely...so in our daily life we need a tool that would help us to be spiritually encouraged and inspired..and would help us in our daily walk with Christ passing by all the obstacles and shackles of the devil . The tool is " FAITH" in God.

Havent we ever seen a child looking up to his father when he needs help? Its is so simple , so natural , and yet so beautiful picture of this seemingly 'esoteric' substance we call as faith.
Sometimes we concentrate or focous so much on faith itself...that we tend to complicate matters for ourselves and forget that its not the size of our faith ,but Who we trust in that truly matters...
Isnt that why Jesus told us that even the tiniest amount of faith can move mountains( Luke 17:6)? For at the end of the day,its not the size of our faith , but the almighty power of the One we put our trust in that causes miracles and wonders to come to pass in our lives.

What is our problem today??
Is it sickness?Look to Jesus ! For He willingly suffered tortorous strikes after strikes so we can confidentally declare " By His stripes, I am healed"
Is it something we have been desiring for so long now? Look to Jesus! For He is our good Shepherd, and He has promised to always provide for us.
Is it our financial lack? Look to Jesus! He is the richest ...the King of kings
Is it a temperory problem in our families? Look to Jesus! For His word says..He will extend his salvation to both you and your household(Acts 16:31)
Whatever it is that we lack..whatever it is that we need ..our Lord had already forseen it and purchased it on the Cross for us.

When Peter got distracted by the boisterous winds and waves around him and began to sink( right after he miraculously walked on water from simply trusting Jesus' words), he did the exact same thing. Again he looked upto Jesus for help....n what did Jesus do..? At his first cry for help..Jesus reached out and saved him !

The good news is He 's exactly the same today! Ever willing to reach into our lives and deliver us... Jesus has never dissapointed anyone who looked to Him for help...
Godbless:)

HISTORY MAKER

Hey frnds its just another "drop in the ocean". "God is at work" in our lives and as YUWA as a whole. Just wanted to share with you an experience through which the great man of god Dr Paul Yonggi Cho went through, its funny but dynamic. So the story goes like this....

The man of God(Dr Paul Yonggi Chow)was in the initial stages of his ministry. He was called for a "7 day crusade" which was organised by a church who(like us) were ready to "experiment" with a "new" preacher. Day 1 was really horrible as the people who attended it played cards, taunted, laughed and scorned while he preached the word. He lacked boldness and Holy Spirit in his preaching and life. The power of god wasn't there in the meeting and he was on the verge of "spiritual" depression. As attendance was low in the 1st day he even doubted if he had been called by the lord. So late in the night he was in his room(tent because it was an open air meeting)praying desperately to god why had he called him into ministry. While he was praying a man came to his tent, his both legs were broken and came to be healed through Paul Yonggi cho(who was literally in a similar condition ie spiritual paralysis). On seeing the faith of the sick man he prayed for hours but nothing happend. He went back to the corner of his tent and cried to the lord because of his and the sick man's condition. Meanwhile two robbers had come to the ground(ground occupied for the crusade) to steal something(they dont know what it was but had come anyway)

Suddenly God filled him with his Spirit while he was praying and he went to that sick man and said "stand up and be healed in the name of jesus". The man was really afraid(oh my goodness why the hell i came there) and couldnt help himself to stand. Yonggi Chow stood upn the sick man's knees and started praying.Suddenly the robbers came that way the pastor commanded"hey you there!!,yes both of you, come and help this man in the nmae of Jesus". The robbers obeyed and helped him get up.The sick man overheard the breaking of his bones when he was trying to stand up and yelled"help this man is killing me". God touched him and he got healed hallelujah!!. That man gave his life to jesus along with that two robbers who later became assistant pastors of yonggi cho's church. The rest of the meetings were power packed and history bears witmess to the fact that this man of god went on to became the pastor of the biggest church of the world with over 10 lakh(as of 2007) in korea.

Be it peter who was afraid to testify about jesus and later when Holy Spirit came on him went on to led 3000 people to christ in a single sermon or Yaul Yonggi Cho whose life stands as an xample to all of us who are cowards and self righteouss. Be it C.H Spurgeon,Wigglesworth,John Wesley,Luther,Benny hinn,Calvin,John Bunyan, or be it you. God can change you from a luke warm, passive, self centered believer into a person who stands for God boldily.I can happen to you when you surrender your life to him and stand in awe of what he can do through you.Who will Stand and Speak For god??? Are you Ready to become an History Maker for GOD

FRUITS OF SPIRIT

Give me the fruit of LOVE
Deep within my heart
That I may seek not myself to please
But to others, give and forgive

Give me the fruit of JOY
Deep within my heart
That I may smile in every circumstance
And with joyous strength continues to advance

Give me the fruit of PEACE
Deep within my heart
That I may be still in your presence
And submit my worries to your omniscience

Give me the fruit of PATIENCE
Deep within my heart
That I may understand my neighbor’s imperfection
And bear my burdens with total resignation

Give me the fruit of KINDNESS
Deep within my heart
That I may always be true to you in my life
And submit to your divine will, like a true wife

Give me the fruit of HUMILITY
Deep within my heart
That I may prefer to serve than be served
And let my boastful good work go unobserved

Give me the fruit of SEL CONTROL
Deep within my heart
That I may withhold the emotions of fleshly nature
But rather live by these fruits that you give and nurture

Thorns First, Rose Next

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, “How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom… it died.

——————————

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.

We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.

Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.

The Curious Case of DESTINATION!!

One more experience on the line from my side. There are few things in life which help us to move forward, inspire or degenerate our thoughts and actions . But this experience which i want to share inspired me and challenged me for the ministry. I remember when i was in class 12th, i used to top the class(sort of) as i always managed to be in the top three positions. Once a man of god came to my home and we were talking when he asked me about my studies and i told him that i came second. Suddenly his appearance changed and he said those words which i wont forget till ages to come" you who are serving the lord is coming second?and the one's who aren't and are destined for hell coming first?". You might say hallelujah and praise god for that wonderful declaration of faith???but i was taken aback and the words destined for hell struck me.I didnt rply him as as such bt started searching the scriptures. This is all what most of the Believers care about the non believers thats all (keeping in view our spiritual level and bible knowledge). I thought my god who has given us the right to decide who are destined for hell and who are not. The general perception among the Believers is that they were saved because of their works and so posses sense of being elite and pride fills our soul(we generally call it knowing who we are) but thank god that jesus being god himself "was humble unto death" and didn't had this approach towards a sinner. I saw in the scripture that we were all destined for the hell but what made the difference was by what jesus did on the cross. So does it mean we who are saved should have this kind of feeling towards the on non believers?(that we are superior, like hitler and the aryan issue hahaha)As ravi zacharias said "hell is not the choice of god but it's the choice of man who wants to reject god but our greatest privilege is to go out to them and tell them that they dont have to have their choice bt they can have god's choice that is eternal life through jesus christ!!" There's been various speculation regarding predestination but i firmly beleive that everybody's destination can be changed thru jesus christ coz he is the one who said"today u will be wid me in paradise"we all were destined for hell but thank god for the blood of jesus that washes us from all our sin!!!I pray that god might help us to save many people by the awesomeness of the message that is eternal life through JESUS CHRIST.....god bless

SEVEN IMPORTANT DUTIES

1. Wake Up !!... Decide to have a good day.

"Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !!... The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7

3. Shut Up !!... Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking.

"He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up !!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.

"Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!... To the Lord.

"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!... For something higher.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!... Your Prayers.

"Do not worry about anything; Instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING." Philippians 4:6

Think about it....Dear....

THE LOVE OF GOD

Hey YUWA it’s great to witness your wonderful experiences taking flesh in the blog. I am really excited about sharing this small incident that happened in my life and changed my entire perspective of life. It happened 3 years ago. One fine morning I was startled by the very thought of sharing my home with some “unbelievers” in the coming week. Some people were coming from my place in Kerala to my home in Delhi. I began to feel that the 1 week they would be spending with me would be a hell on earth experience. It is very easy to speak words of faith in the church but in reality its outside the church what really matters. As a traditional Pentecostal I was reluctant to get over the very fact that I have to share my house with the “unbelievers”. As I was not up to that spiritual level when people don’t care such things, I tried my best not to associate with them as I thought that my mere mingling with them would hamper my holiness (most of us are like this. As I say we act as we are “angels”). Every time they tried to associate with me I wasn’t giving in. On the 3rd day after their arrival, they planned to go to Agra and they would be coming back early in the morning. So by my mother’s persuasion I was awake until they returned. When they returned, to their surprise I was found awake and they were really happy to see me waiting for them. At that time when others were happy I was burdened, sorrow came over me and I felt the Holy Spirit convicting me. I went to my room and I was crying as though one of my dear one had passed away. That night I was only crying out” Jesus forgive me”. Holy Spirit convicted me of a sin and that was the love which I was not showing. God loves everybody and it’s our task to bring them home to the Almighty and loving Father!! Thereafter I connected with them and was able to love them without any reason and that love which God poured out into me helped me in my journey ahead. Friends that day onwards I came to realize that God loves all humans and that’s why the Bible says in 1John 3:9 "…….because he does not want anyone to be destroyed but wants all to turn from their sins” Hallelujah! How great is my loving God. My dear friends are you ready to show the love of God which was demonstrated on the cross of Calvary to the people? As the great man of God Bob Pierce, the founder of world vision said, "Let my heart be broken with the things that break God's.” Are you ready to be broken with what breaks God’s??? Are you ready to pray the prayer which I always pray "Oh God! fill me with such passion that I might reach out to the people with the love of Christ which you displayed upon the cross”..Amen and God blesss

Different!

My friends from college were planning a trip to Wagah and other places. I was a privileged party to all the discussions. But in the end I had to backout as the final plan involved missing a Sunday and that too in travel so any question of attending church at some place was futile. I made my predicament known to a few of my friends and excused myself from the excursion. I took the easy way out and said “I’m the son of a Pastor and as his kid, it won’t look good if I miss church.”
On the way back home, just me and my friend from our gang were left in the metro. She said “Siju, I totally understand what you said. When you are brought up in a certain way, you have to behave according to that. There is a certain decorum that you must follow. People, who don’t know you, think you are some kind of a freak, but that’s the way it is.” I was astounded, such insight from an unexpected quarter!

Friends, accept that you are different and that, you don’t have to necessarily conform to trends all the time.

Rocky Balboa

...But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!...

These are the famous lines from the movie Rocky which I saw again last week. The main protagonist Rocky Balboa is a boxer. When confronted with a bigger and better boxer, he departs from conventional thinking by deciding to take the hits and tire the opponent down. When the opponent was all wearied after 13-14 rounds of sheer hard work in the bout, Rocky turned the tables and beat him to the ground. It was his ability to endure that helped him win. This made me think!
You know, the devil is going to come at you with all the force at his disposal. He’ll try all dirty tricks under his belt to break you. It is when we persevere under such onslaught that we become effective and productive in Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:5-8) Perseverance implies that no matter how hard you are hit, you keep on moving on. And that is how “winning is done.”

If you can't stand for the Lord in smaller things, how dare you expect Him to stand for you in bigger things....

I mean, I always consider my Lord as my soul mate. If I can't stay committed towards him, how can I expect him to be committed...???

This question was asked to me by my soul mate the other day but I guess today, this question is for you....ARE YOU REALLY COMMITTED and if the answer is yes, it's high time you show your commitment.... Stand for the Lord in every phase of your life and trust me, you are going to feel His love every second.....

Job 39:11 says, "Will you rely on him for his great strength? Will you leave your heavy work to him?"..... The ball is in our court friends, do we have the courage to rely on him???? Can we just trust Him and expect him to do our heavy work.....

Sometimes, trusting the Lord is the most difficult thing to do..... I would just like to quote a scripture from the bible and it would say it all.....

Mathew 21:21 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea, ' and it will be done. AMEN

This was something which just came into my mind all of a sudden... Thought it would be amazing if I just share it with you all. These words made me strong last days.... i wish, i pray and I hope these words would comfort you in the coming days....Stay blessed, keep rocking.... :) Reni signing off.... tk cr....God bles$.....

nd ya....rmbr me in your prayers....goin thru some of the best moments of my life.... let dis feeling, let dis passion nd let dis zeal previal for ever nd ever nd ever.......

How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings.
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.

An Experience : What Love is all about?

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am, When an elderly gentleman in his 80′s, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation I asked him if he had a doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer Disease.
As we talked, and I finished dressing his wound, I asked if she would be worried if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him. “And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?” He smiled as he patted my hand and said. “She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.”
I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, “That is the kind of love I want in my life.”
——————- ——————- ——————-
True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything that comes along their way.
Would You Consider Abortion?

Would you consider abortion in the following 3 situations ?

1. There's a preacher and wife who are very, very, poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she's pregnant with 15th. They're living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?

2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. They have 4 children. 1st is blind, 2nd is deaf, 3rd is deaf, 4th has TB. She finds she's pregnant again. Given the extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?

3. A white man raped a 13 year old black girl and she got pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

Here's what would have happened if you had gone for abortion...

In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley. One of the great evangelists in the 19th century.

In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.

And in the third case, you would have committed the murder of Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer.

Food for thought!

Counsel

The counsel of the Lord standeth forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Psalms 33:11 God's counsel never changes it is for all generations the past, present and future. God's word never changes, we as people change. God is no respect of person what he does for one He will do for another. Life my get you down at times but the counsel of God will lift you up.

Story : The Painting of the Son

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art. When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son. About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, ‘Sir, you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.’ The young man held out this package. ‘I know this isn’t much. I’m not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.’

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. ‘Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It’s a gift.’

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son The auctioneer pounded his gavel. ‘We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?’ There was silence. Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, ‘We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.’ But the auctioneer persisted. ‘Will somebody bid for this painting. Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?’ Another voice angrily. ‘We didn’t come to see this painting.

We came to see the Van Gogh’s, the Rembrandt’s. Get on with the real bids!’ But still the auctioneer continued. ‘The son! The son! Who’ll take the son?’

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. ‘I’ll give $10 for the painting.’ Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. ‘We have $10, who will bid $20?’ ‘Give it to him for $10. Let’s see the masters.’ ‘$10 is the bid, won’t someone bid $20?’ The crowd was becoming angry. They didn’t want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. ‘Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!’

A man sitting on the second row shouted, ‘Now let’s get on with the collection!’The auctioneer laid down his gavel. ‘I’m sorry, the auction is over.’ ‘What about the paintings?’ ‘I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!’

———– ———– ———–

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: ‘The son, the son, who’ll take the son?’ Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

“FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…”
